Summit provides integrated technical finance risk analysis which contributes to a complete assessment of complex projects. Summit has developed a comprehensive integrated technical finance process built on lessons learned. Our process is unique to space systems, streamlined and direct. This saves our customers time and money. The Summit team has direct experience leading technical due diligence assessments for the world’s most significant satellite programs. We specialize in satellite constellation programs, hybrid space-mobile terrestrial networks, space sensing and air traffic space surveillance/tracking systems. Summit:
performs technical due diligence studies and provides road-show presentations where complex issues are presented to investors in an objective, succinct, and informed manner. This builds confidence and allows lenders to quickly understand key risks.
provides operators with bankability reviews prior to starting the finance process. This allows operators to benefit from lessons learned which saves time and money.
leads with directly applicable technical experience that spans the entire space project lifecycle.
has highly qualified and seasoned staff with decades of experience in the space industry and a pool of niche technical experts to support in-depth studies.
maintains and leverages long-standing relationships with satellite and launch vehicle manufacturers as well as space system operators to gain unabridged information.
SPACED-BASED AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL
Space-based air traffic surveillance and tracking provides game changing opportunities to improve Air Traffic Services (ATS) for the aviation industry. Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) will improve efficiency, routing and spacing of aircraft as well as introduce comprehensive global coverage. Until recently, deploying a space-based ATS system was an unproven method for providing this service. With new space-based systems operating now, ANSP’s and the aviation community should maintain a current market knowledge of ATS space system performance, architecture and solution options, i.e. ADS-B and ADS-C.
Summit has developed a system of systems approach that can guide stakeholders towards solutions which fit their unique needs. In many cases market options are not mutually exclusive. Rather, a range of complementary solution sets exist -- designed for different air navigation, tracking and surveillance purposes. Most importantly, integrating a range of solutions into the overall systems architecture can enhance performance and resilience. Stakeholders should consider the following factors before selecting a solution.
Since 2010 Summit has been intimately involved in the design, development and validation testing of space-based ATS systems. We provide independent technical support to the world’s Air Navigation Service Providers:
Acquisition support
Independent technical evaluation of different service offerings
Space system integration into existing systems
Testing and validation support
